So I'm a little freaked out here--I lost my note book filled with pages and pages of the assex, and I don't know where, but I preeeeeeetty sure it was at work.
This is trouble on two fronts---it contained the next bit of Transference ready to go, and now I'm stalled, plus I think it had notes for AliemBoy. Plus, it was at *WORK*(!!!!!!!)

Oh well.

I was tired of working at Target anyway...*SNORT*.
I'm kind of hoping no one connects the boys having sex with the old lady, but since I'm always scribbling in the damn thing at my breaks, I don't know what the chances are for that. Thank goodness, it only had notes for POV and Kal and nothing new or I'd be really stuck. It does have original pages for my SpN fics, and that's sad. It's all I have so far in that fandom. *snivel*

So anyway, extra work to get Transference ready, but I think I have it. Lord...what a wazoo I is.

omg. aside from the loss of the writing (which would be painful enough!), the potential for embarrassment... i hope it turns up, and whoever found it is discreet and considerate about returning it to you.

Yeah, I hope it turns up too, as for discreet and considerate--not a chance in hell. :)

Wooooooah.

Even if they do connect the notebook to you, they'll probably just a) still keep it to wank off to or b) think you're even cooler than they already believed you were.

Oh my god, that right there is one of my nightmares, that I email a section of story back to my Yahoo! account from my work account and manage to copy in the entire company. Ranks right up with the arriving at work nude nightmare. Eeeek!

Fingers crossed it just fell under the couch or something. 8-/

Hopefully the store manager, or better yet, the area or regional manager found it because they are notoriously completely ignorant. I'm sure they can't read. I know this from my years of experience working for Target in college and then again in my 30s. Maybe a DM will recognize that there is a language in your notebook, but it's not likely.

I could try lending you my boss if anyone at the store finds it. The assex would freak him out *grins* but he laughs when I swear at him so he'd be cool about it. :)

I'm so sorry you lost your book, and I really hope you find it! *hugs* If anyone actually reads it, though, they'll likely be too embarassed to say anything about it, cause they'll find themselves all aroused, and won't know how to explain it, what with the croaking voice and tented/damp pants.
Really, whoever finds it might just recognize that it's yours and set it aside until the next time they see you. It could happen; I know that's what I'd do.
Either way...*more hugs*

I kept finding these notes in the pockets of the aprons at work where someone indiscreetly was ranting about other people. I threw them away and didn't say anything. I hope I'm the only one who found them.

How about this. Get another notebook that looks just like the old one and write frantically in it at work (recreating all the masterpieces temporarily missing with the first book) where your coworkers can see you. If anyone else found the missing notebook, they won't think it's yours because you still HAVE yours... So no embarrassment. This might not help you get the old one back though... I'll keep thinking.

Glad you like it! It's a cap from [livejournal.com profile] acampbell (she has many, many lovely ones--I can't rememebr what episode it's from...) and I think I added the lettering.

I have a hard time imagining him making this face on camera as well... :)

Oh dear. That could be embarrassing. But, you never know. Perhaps a Target co-worker will read it. You'll discover that he/she is an LJ'er and they recognize your work as that of the popular and talented roxymissrose. They're avid fans of your fics. They'll return it to you...bow down at your feet praising you work and ask you to autograph their printed copy of dis pater Jupiter.

...then again. Maybe not. LOL

*giggles* Wasn't that store's tagline a few years ago "Hit the Target?" Sounds like it goes perfectly with Clex! Besides, unless your name is in it in big neon letters, I doubt you'll get busted . . . that, and what you do on your break is your business. They can't fire you for writing. I remember a few years when I worked at the credit bureau in El Paso, I used to write on my lunch/breaks, and yeah it bugged people, but they couldn't do dick about it. Anyway, I hope you find it, just so you can retrieve your notes!

If your stories suddenly show up online under another name, you'll know for sure! But hopefully that won't happen. Something similar happened to me once, only it was during my British Drama class where my Powerpoint presentation ended, only to go unexpectedly to my screensaver, which was a beefcake pic of Tom Welling. To this day, my prof has never let me forget it. I was "fangirl" the rest of the semester.
