Another funny bit about the SpN epsisode---Dean using the name Edgar Cayce as ID. My dad filled the house with his books when I was a kid, and I thought it was loony stuff back then. I howled when I heard the name!!

Dude! I'm not the only one! What a relief. (haven't seen the ep yet, stupid CW website)

But my mom did too. Like books and tapes and crap. She paid for a private reading or something--She had a cassette tape that was all about us.

Crazy.

Ack! I forgot not everyone's seen it yet--oh well. Who else is gonna know what it means but me and you?

I swear, probably the only thing that kept my dad from getting more involved was my mom! *shakes head*

ACTUALLY, Edgar Cayce aka The Sleeping Prophet was perhaps the greatest psychic of the past century. He correctly predicted when and where the Bimini Roads would be discovered. He gave all kinds of cures and so forth for illnesses and diseases that scientists are only now starting to explore (proving Cayce was right).

I have great respect for Cayce for his contributions to the metaphysical world. At least he didn't talk in riddles like Nostradamus, who I still say was not a psychic but just a political activist incognito -- it annoys me how people swear that some of those vague quatrains predicted WWII, et al -- they stretch it pretty hard, IMO, to make it fit. And then they don't use the WHOLE passages, but just a sentence or two. You can't pick and choose your prophecies -- it either all applies or it doesn't. Square peg does not fit into round hole.

But yeah -- I think it's cool Dean used that name as an alias. I can't remember, but has he ever used Crowley? :)

I don't think so, but it's only lately that I've realized that the names they're using are real names. I'm so very slow....*G*
