I'm half asian myself, my mom was Korean so I don't dislike the character of Lana for any racial reason. I just don't like her because she acts like a holier then thou twit. I just went off on a tangen on mskatej's journal and don't want to repeat it all but. But I mean really the girl seriously believes that there are rules for her, which really don't exist and rules for everyone else which do. I mean ... ugh.
Well, me, I find Kate a lot of fun to read, even if I don't agree with her all the time, but I don't feel like I have to agree with someone to like them. This mess going on now, well. I really felt this response was a little over the top. The original post was thoughtful, and way less inflammatory. Being mixed myself, black and Austrian--I'd be an idiot to to dislike anyone because of race, or belittle anyone for that reason.
