I always swear that I'm going to finish the story first before posting but they always get so much longer than I thought they were going to be.

Amen. I wasn't going to post CFMWH, at all. I didn't think anyone would read it, or if they did they wouldn't like it. But I just wanted to see it up on my lj, and know that at least I'd tried to give the heartbroken SV fans a good storyline, with a cool sweet Lex, and a tortured gut-wrenching real Clark. *shrugs* C'est la vie.

Wow--did you really think no one would read it? It's a good story, with an interesting premise--a fresh premise--and it's very well written. I'm glad folks are finding it.
