what a difference a day makes...

The day started out great and then I worked and that sucked but no more than usual really, but it ended fucking awful. We're all tired, and I'm a little weepy, and did I mention we're exhausted?
I'm exhausted anyway, being close to that TIMEOFTHEMONTH, the one where I want to stab the innocent, but ack. We had a huge flood all over the brand new floor. The brand new floor, the one I've wanted since forever! I hope to god it doesn’t warp or mildew…anyway, We schlepped water out of here like slavs, and wiped and dried and cursed and would have rended our garments BUT THEY WERE TOO FUCKING SOGGY TO TEAR. God, if I knew we were going to have such shit, I would have never gotten out of bed this morning. Thank goodness my morning started so well…sigh.
Anyhoo, congratulations to my beloved
supercaptain182, on winning
mahaliem's maybe annual Memorial Day Weekend Smallville Drabble Contest! All the entries were excellent and great fun to read! Congratulations to everyone! You guys, you're so cool!
In other news, I'm looking over the responses to my meme I guess about my fics and I'm liking the ideas I'm getting for some responses. I will definitely work on an idea or two! Love you guys so much!

5/27/08 03:33 am (UTC)We had a flood at my house once but it wasn't on a new floor. It sucked, but nowhere near your level!!
I hope everything dries okay.

I dunno what the weather's like, but fans. Train fans on your floor and run them to help get the moisture out.
It should be okay, though, if you got it stopped/cleaned up that soon.
*hugs more*

5/28/08 03:33 pm (UTC)Yeah, small parts here and there are starting to buckle, but hopefully, it won't be a real big fix. I pouted all day yesterday, and I'm better about it now. Could have been much, much worse--what if we hadn't home when it happened? *shudders* Now *that* would have been a nightmare!
