I'm so proud of myself! I'm reading stuff--and leaving comments! To *complete* strangers!!! I know!!! Real wordy ones, too! And not even being all embarrassed and leaving little 'it wuz good' comments like a little kid throwing a mash note wrapped around a rock through the neighbors window and then running away...erm. *koff*

So...how's by you?

You've mentioned before that you worry about being "too fannish" in your feedback on fic you love. I've thought, "Hey, too fannish is not possible!" and yet I've felt the same way. I recently left a comment on an older piece of fic (I'm in kind of an outdated fandom right now) by a BNF, and her reply was, in essence, "You shouldn't like that story so much; like one of my better ones."

Fandom is strange. That's all I've got to say about that.

But yay for commenting in substance on things you've enjoyed. In itself it's kind of a writing exercise--digging a little deeper than "yay good story love love love" actually helps me solidify my own thoughts about writing.
