So this Fringe show is starting to grow on me, can you believe it? Honestly--it sucks. So far it hasn't touched on anything that other shows haven't done better. It's very much X-files lite, only less filling. But! Walter. Goodness, it's not that often I instantly fall for a character, but I love this one. John Noble plays this guy perfectly. He's a joy to watch. Also that guy from Dawson's Creek does a terrific job. Acting wise, he's very likable. So far the FBI agent, Olivia...well goodness, there's a character I wanted to like--she's very attractive and. She's very attractive.

Anyhoo, the real reason I watched the show was because of Mark Valley. I loved him in Keen Eddie. This...mm. Well, he is dead, so maybe that accounts for his acting.

All you folks who met Mikey and posted pics--thanks a million! I love that boy with hair just as much as I love him bald. Such a cutey!

I'm a week behind on Fringe, but I'm loving it so far. I would agree with just about everything you said, except that I've never seen Keen Eddie, so... ;p

Olivia IS very attractive, isn't she? *g* What's up with her being so boring?

Right? Crying out loud, I just want to grab her and scream MOVE YOUR FACE, ITS OK!

On Keen Eddie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keen_Eddie), Mark was adorable, charming, seeet and slightly clueless--a cutie pie!

I agree about Fringe. John Noble is definitely the only reason I'm still watching. Well, I love the relationship between Walter and his son too

I've tried to tune in a couple of times, and I've just come to accept that I have to watch it online. The son annoys me and I can't focus. It looks like The X-Files, so I might like it once I'm able to sit down and focus on one thing for more than ten seconds.

Currently? Planning lessons, checking email, holding office hours, reading lj, and worrying about having to go to the gym!

and writing right? *G*

It's not so much you not focusing as the show. It tends to...wander a bit in the course of an episode. To me at least.

OF COURSE!! WRITING! *shifty eyes*

I'll give it a try when I'm not immersed in grading. I have the brain of a ferret right now. I'm glad I'm not the only one who has that problem. Well, maybe they'll get a bit tighter in their plots as they go.

I totally watch Fringe just for John Noble and Joshua Jackson, they're awesome together and seperately, they just play off each other really well. And whoever the little cutie playing Astrid is, she's so good at saying a lot with just those huge eyes of hers and her reactions. She doesn't actually get a lot of lines but her body language and reactions are spot on.
Mikey is lickable, no matter what. YUM.

I'm watching Fringe. I was surprised to find it set in Boston. The one thing I can't stand, as a Bostonian, in shows or movies is the overdone, really bad Bah-ston accent. (Ala the Departed or Good Will Hunting.) It's not filmed in Boston but I love that NO ONE on the show has said "chowdah or pahhhked their car". lol
I'll most likeley stay tuned based on that alone. lol

So far, I'm just watching it because I know if I don't they'll cancel it. . . like FOX seems to do with almost every show I like. On the other hand, since I am watching it, it'll probably get the shaft just when it really starts taking off! *pouts* Hmmph.

My mom just loves Keen Eddie and about every three months watches it. It was a great show and all, but after several times, I'm frankly kinda getting tired of it! XD Which is not to say that I still don't drool over Mark Valley, coz that man is geeee-orgeous!! *rawr* *g*

And, hey, that's a nice theme you've got here now! Very smooth and cool on the eyes, and yet quirky enough to fit our roxy! *hug*

Mark is gorgeous, but kind of...not exciting as an actor, sadly.

I love Walter! I haven't watched this week's ep yet (taped), but I'm looking forward to it. And you're right about X-Files lite, but it's still fun. :)

I'm enjoying it too, very much. I do love Walter (have loved John Noble since I met him at an LOTR convention and he was so sweet and funny) and Peter, they have such a good, well done father and son relationship. I don't dislike Olivia but there is something slightly... well, maybe as we find out more about her she will grow, early Scully (to use the FBI agent comparison) wasn't half as cool as later Scully (of course early Scully was still cool, but it works as a comparison).

I've liked Mark Valley ever since he was on Days Of Our Lives. I don't really care for that character though there was an interesting shot of his dead nipples in the last episode (it was weird).

Also yes, Astrid! Cute. I have a bit of a love for that name since, of all things, Doctor Who ;)

I don't dislike her either--I just wanted to like her more than I did. What you say is true--as she settles in her character more and we learn more about her hopefully I'll care more. :)

*love* your icon!

Yes. She's not bad but a little... generic? Though she is a very pretty lady. She reminds me very much in her looks of Cate Blanchett, actually.

I like my Jensen icon. He is, of course, rather hot ;)
