or are some of these SpN fans scary as hell? Not that I'm seeing it on my friendslist, but reading around...whew! Crazeecakes! I have some deep thinky thoughts about the show I keep to myself, and about the actors I keep to myself because I like the quiet. And the most important thing to remember, to clutch to your bosom and know it for the truth, is it's all MAKE BELIEVE. for god's sake. Make believe allows me to imagine that I'm 6 foot tall, and startlingly reminiscent of Angela Basset, and my boyfriend Jensen is driving me to pick up my other boyfriend Mikey and from there whisk us all to our palatial hotel room to make a Roxy sandwich, and after, they'll have to good grace to go pick up a perfectly understanding Mr. Roxy, and drop him and a pizza off at the room before getting the hell out until I call them again. Because Mr. R is just as good if not better than they are, for real, that man can lay some pi--oooo. goodness, that went a wee bit off track. *G*

But you get my drift, yes?

In other news, I think I'm lovin' my classic rock station -- we're in a mind-meld, it and I. Guess what was playing around noon today? XD Eye of the frickin'-TIGER. I kid you not! *pumps fist* I couldn't stop laughing the whole time (and probably a good five or ten minutes afterward), and the other "receptionist" had no clue what the heck was so funny. *happysigh* Priceless.

man, folks get seriously crazy. Kripke had to put his foot down and tell people Dean was not a dick? The boards are always crazier than us here though--SV folks are waging war over Chloe and Lois and all kinds of things that make me go, "Hunh?"

Here, we can hide under the covers. If we're really quiet maybe they won't hear us. :)

Oh, I get your drift. It happens in every. Freakin'. Year. The crazycakes are the reason fans get a bad rep. I've seen it with TV fandoms, I've seen it with novels (*coughStefanieMeyersfanscough*). I still don't know what to make of peeps who can't differentiate fantasy from reality, but hey, I'm only a wee bit loco.

I'm telling you, I can enjoy my show thoroughly, argue about character, motivations, and Dean's undying love for me secret plot points with the best of them but thank the lord, everybody I talk to is perfectly able to distinguish between TVLand and RL.

I think I must also skip over the crazees parts too...it's like this very faint possibility just out of range of my peripheral vision that I don't feel any need to try and bring into focus. But yeah I have heard the rumours about the Spn fandom. I'm just grateful I've found a few extremely talented fans who can write, do awesome screencaps and picspams and art. They help you forget any crazees exist!

Me, personally? Hmm. I like to imagine I'm Clark's OB...you know, from when he got pregnant with Lex's baby, but then there was the concern about whether Oliver or Bruce could have been the dad, so I had to do a whole lot of exams. *nods* So then the boys from Torchwood and QaF came over to 'help' me with my examinations...you know, holding the flashlight and such...

Oh, it was an article that said Kripke told the fans that the writers did not intend for folks to believe that Dean was a dick. I mean, he had to tell them that? WTF?

Now, me personally, I think Dean *is* a tiny bit of a dick. I mean, he thinks he's God's gift to women, he's rude, laughs at geeks--considers Sam a geek--can't get past the 'I'm the older brother and I know what's good for you' thing. But it's not really a bad dickiness and besides, it's *Dean*.

I have no idea how other folks are seeing these guys, but all I want from them is to be entertained. Maybe because I'm a good deal older than most folks here but lots of things that seem to send some folks through the roof don't bother me much. Age has some benefits after all!

After discovering fanfic, and thus fandom, I discovered that people? More insane than I previously thought.SpN does seem a bit more insane than most but then Harry Potter and BtVS are not far behind. Spuffy Vs Bangel, anyone? Those people were scary and it was only about the characters!

But hey! On the plus side, you can see and avoid the insanity. In offline life the insane are less obvious. ::nodnodnod:: Or so the voices in my head tell me ::grin::
