John is much more sympathetic in the fic than in the show (though I truly think JDM does a great job as an actor).

Oh, I think he's an amazing actor--and I love John on the show too. I think he makes it plain John loves his boys. I just really enjoy fics in which it's clear to the reader and his boys that he does.

Great rec thankyou! Read it just now and left feedback. This John has resonated with me so strongly compared to others. Hey is Lodi finished yet? I have a current self-imposed ban on WIPs and am only reading fics I can finish...so I am eagerly waiting to see if you've finished posting on that one yet.
