I started to watch Twilight with my cousin. She *loves* the vampires--she hooked me on True Blood--heck, we go all the way back to Dark Knight. So when she came over with her shiny movie clutched in her little hand, I was not surprised. What surprised me was what fun we had watching it. We didn't finish it because she had stuff to do, but we will next time she comes over. It was fun--laugh? My stars. It was totally geared towards little girls who are just starting to wonder about boys. In the movie, Edward, whatever, came across as scary, but safe. And she was Not Afraid. Don't spoil me for the rest, I'm enjoying it too much. That Wall Of Graduation...*SNORF* I think I found it a whole lot funnier than Bella did. That was her name, right?

Also, whew, that kid looked like shit. He was so adorable as Cedric--who knew he could look so bad?. His hair just pissed me off--like, brush it, for god sake.

I heart True Blood so much, I began to read the Sookie Stackhouse novels! They're actually good, very funny. My best male friend, who is straight btw, loves Twilight and has read all the books. He thinks it's the best thing ever, which definitely pains me. He doesn't understand why I can't share his love for it. I told him mainly it's because I like my vampires to either be scary as balls or sarcastic and brooding. Plus, my female lead can't be too freaking whiny. I told him the Edward/Bela type romance had come and gone in my life.

Can I say: Max/Liz or Clark/Lana...Only if Bella busted out with her own brand of Lana-fu, slayer skills ala Buffy tutelage, or absorbed alien powers, then I wouldn't have to cover my eyes and hide whenever I see anything Twilight.

I *love* the Sookie books! I started reading them a while ago, and got totally hooked--still love them, unlike the Anita Blake books. She's a little cooler in the books than she is on the show, I think. :)
