roxy: (coffee--no)

I got home from work yesterday, ate dinner and went to bed about 6-ish--slept straight through, not waking up once. Scary.

After I finish Lodi,(soon, very soon!) I'll be busy on the SVBigBang, I hope, so there probably won't be any story at all here for a while. Besides the challenge, I'm feeling kind of empty at the moment. *sigh* No what-ifs at all.

I just went out (at 7:30--yes, in the morning. On a Saturday) with no makeup and damp hair so that I could procure for myself a four-shot mocha at the corner indie coffee place.

The straight-through sleeping? I kind of envy you that.

As to the no what-if's: any chance of a new fandom? *makes magic Leverage motions*

I love my shows, I love Leverage, but I'm not wondering what they're doing when I'm not looking, and I'm not wondering what they'd do if I dropped them into other worlds. That's reeeeeeelly scary!

Funny, innit, fandom? You've summed it up nicely: there's enjoying a show, and there's totally invading the fictional privacy of the characters being interested in the characters beyond the plot.

It's not usually the best shows that generate the fannishness, it's the ones whose characters are better than their writing. Those ones need us. An element of sci-fi/fantasy seems to help, too.

So yeah, Leverage is awesome (and now, 95% more local!) and I can't wait for it to start up again, but I'm not really fannish on it either.

Hope your muse comes back with the riding crop real soon.

ah?

Your icon explains why I love Leverage so much! Is there a sweeter, more endearing guy than Aldis/Alec? His character on the show is adorable, and apparently he's that way in semi-RL, too. Throwing Christian Kane into the mix doesn't hurt--plus having female characters I actually like a lot, instead of tolerate.

Yes! Leverage has moved production to Stumptown! They started blowing up cars and shit the day before yesterday.

And Aldis Hodge is just fantastic! Having seen him both in Leverage and in some goofy Leverage promo stuff, I can look back on him as Jake in SPN and see that he's on the verge of busting out laughing the whole time.

Because have you SEEN The Hand Jobs?

OMG, I LOVE HIM EVEN MORE!!!!! MORE!!

I loved him even as Jake, something my niece can't seem to forgive me for...but it's Aldis! It's impossible to dislike him! *happysigh*

While one does not particularly love Jake for killing Sam, let him be under never so much infernal persuasion, one cannot help generally loving him for the wide-eyed charm he evinces
