Should I get the new Anita Blake? She's tiresome as fuck, but it's supposed to have Edward in it, and you know I love shiny Edward. I just don't want to have to sit through some more of Blake's oh woe is me, everything wants to get this bullshit.

I've read it. Mostly for the enticement of Edward! Its like a watered down Obsidian Butterfly(which is one of my favorites) Same cast-ish, same get together to destroy super evil etc...

Without throwing out epic spoilers:

Instead of "woe is me everyone wants to hit that?" Its "Woe is me, I'm not a respected officer, woe, I'm a woman, they don't take me seriously, woe, they don't respect what me and my sweeties have, woe" OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Edward is neutered, (and for more reasons than what happened to him post OB) there is not other way to describe his reactions to some things.

I remember being on page 320 and having a moment of wait there's been no sex! She slams it in at the end though there is actually a fade to black for what would have been her worst scene yet.

Oh and its the worst climax EVER. The ending is such a let down I actually read it twice to be sure that she didn't just do that. But alas she did.
