I'm seriously thinking of dropping my membership in supernatural spoilers because it's pissing me off and that's only happened once before, with a Psych comm I dropped because it was stupid and bigoted. It takes a lot to get on my last nerve, but I'm sick and tired of folks chipping away at my enjoyment of my show. As far as I'm concerned, the show has only gotten better every season. Smarter, more exciting, deeper--and I'm a little tired of folks whining that it's not the Dean and Sammy show anymore, or that one or the other sucks, or that Castiel is killing the show--geezus. I'm done.

Look here, every damn thing they've done, every character they've added has only made the show that much more interesting. Even StupidVersionRuby was interesting in terms of the story. (hey SpN, Stop casting with your pants, would ya?) It's possible I'd watch it even if Sam and Dean became supporting characters--if they came up with a strong enough replacement and storyline. Because I'm probably the only person on the planet who really liked Dogget. ;)

So, enough with "they don't give blahblahblah enough screeeeen time, or blahblahblah is just a waterboy this season" or what the fuck ever. Suck it up, ya whiny babies. I say this sincerely from the heart and with love. From one who's been in the trenches. You know what I mean.

I know what you mean because I was there once with another show. *cough cough*

Supernatural rocks and this season is even better than the last and I LOVED last season. Tonight's episode was just amazing and I will have to watch a few more times because there was so much depth to all the conversations.

WORD, I stopped paying attention to the comms years ago. It wouldn't be so bad if there was shred of respect for others opinions but it's not like that it's just bitchfest constantly.

Amen, sister. I love and adore and worship at the altar of our Show.

*gives the double bird to all those pissy fangirls*

Fuck 'em, hon. There are lots of us who also still enjoy SpN. Your support group is always here for ya!

Good God, ya'll! I totally hear you! But I never really got into the comms in this fandom because while I've watched since the beginning, the fandom scared me.

It is what it is, dudes. And it's so much better than other things. I don't care if people want to whine (I'm pretty good at that part), but you don't have to try to make other people unhappy.

I agree! I've never been as keen on the MOTW aspect of season 1 as the rest of fandom, it was season 2 that first really got me into the show. And, after everything I heard about season 3, I was amazed at how much I actually enjoyed it. And then season 4 was the best yet.

They've only said about a hundred times that this season will see Sam and Dean work on their relationship, but still there's whining because of what two episodes that pair Dean and Castiel on a short-term basis. Good grief I'm not the biggest fan of Castiel becoming the third regular in the impala either, but that's blatantly not one they're doing so relax please!!

I stay away from those sorts of posts in the comms myself. Even in SV. I'm just not that interested in what they have to say about my show, unless it's someone I know - and they post in their own journals usually. I agree about the show. I've only been watching since July, but I've seen them all now, and I think they have definitely improved along the way and I love the addition of the angels.

Btw, what is it with us - I come into a fandom and you start fading out? First SV and now SpN, I'm going to get a complex or something.

THIS. Fuck, yes. I don't read recaps that are all pouty and whiney and blah blah blah, either. I mean - Show is fucking *rocking*, it's one of the best of the best out there, so *stop it*. Man.

Only squee from me!
*twirls you*

I liked Doggett. I didn't much care for the two seasons he was in, but the character was solid, and Robert Patrick's always cool. Reyes, otoh, didn't do much for me. It was like, "Wait, we've got two skeptics! That doesn't work! We need someone who's even Mulderier than Mulder to counteract them! Get me the girl from Mystic Pizza!" :)

Hear, hear!
That's one of the 2 reasons I don't read SPN spoilers at all. Including casting spoilers: there's too damn much whining going on.

It's possible I'd watch it even if Sam and Dean became supporting characters
Hmm, interesting. I don't know how that would go, but I would certainly watch if the boys were part of an ensemble. Plus, poor J&J would get more sleep!

The points that are bothering you are the reasons why I don't get involved seriously involved in fandom community boards or groups anymore. If people hate a show and everything the writers are doing to it, stop watching the damn show. I am so much happier watching SPN, Bones, and Dollhouse because I don't participate in the communities. I still have to skip over people on my flist talking about how stupid anyone is who keeps watching Bones or Dollhouse, but at least I'm not a member of a community where I get BOMBARDED with that nonsense. Seriously, if you hate the direction of a show and the screentime given to various actors, stop watching it. It seems like they can't be happy with that, though. They have to make everyone else miserable and make them stop watching, too. Except, they're still watching and attacking everyone else who is still watching too! It's insano!!!
