Will one of you kindly prod me to sign up for the Spn Big Bang before the 11th? My vacillating sense of self esteem will probably kick in tomorrow and keep me from doing so and I really kind of want to.

On a totally unrelated side note, I really *love* Drew and Denise on the reworked Scrubs. They're my favorite couple ever.

Also, I'm stuck like a stuck thing is stuck (ha--that never gets old for me) on my story that I love so much. I kiss its little cheeks and sigh, great heart-rending, gusty sighs of pain. We huddle together on the cold and wet streets of Writer's Block, hawking our Pencils of Sorrow, beseeching the hard-hearted muses to toss us the Pennies of Inspiration. They stroll right past us, their heads in the clouds, totally ignoring the Upraised Fingers of Despair we wave at them. "Fuck you, good sir or madam as the case may be," we call after them. Bastards.

I'm still working on that Silver John/SpN xover, two. I was really thinking about doing it for the SpN xover but I'm still looking up versions of sleeping Beauty that might fit the tale. *G*

Records for comments...I remember those things. I miss comments like crack, I'm telling you. But what are you going to do? I think we both wandered off into fandoms with a gazillion-billion writers. Though somehow, it's the same five writers that get a million responses. sigh. Care for a Pencil of Sorrow?

I'm torn myself about SPN Big Bang. I missed the deadline last year by a day, and promised myself I'd try again this year, but OTOH, the story I had going back then STILL isn't finished.

That sounded bad and is so not how I meant it! It was more of a... glad I did it once and now I am satisfied with myself so I don't need to do it again... sort of experience.

Seriously, it was great fun. Exciting. Stressful and filled with self-doubt, of course, but isn't that what it feels like every time we throw our fic out there for everyone to read?

Last year was actually the second time I signed up. Failed hardcore at it after 8,000 words during the 2008 round. And honestly, my reasons for not doing it this year are pretty much encompassed within the decision not to post fic publicly anymore. Kind of hard to do a challenge when posting for people outside my f-list is sort of a major requirement. ;)

Oh, I'm so sorry that you definitely decided not to post fic publicly anymore. I don't know what brought you to that decision but I do recall that you were unhappy and discussing the possibility of no longer posting fic. I hear you about the stress and self-doubt *and* the excitement of it. Writing for the SVBB was mindboggling and omg stressful--I think I managed to just bring it in under the wire, lol! I was still writing on the due-date--at work, no less! Oy! But it was kind of fun. in a way. Sort of....

I'll still torture my flist with fic, I think. And there's one archive I'll still post Bruce/Clark fic to, I think. Notice the abundance of the word "think" - I'm not all that undecided at all, am I?

I know what you mean. Last years big bang I just made it over the minimum word count for the draft, but once that pressure was off, I ended up with another 13,000 words on top of it. I was still finishing it the day of, too. :D
