SV: Absolute Justice ramblings
2/7/10 05:50 pmThe show made me happy, it was beautiful to look at and addressed some things that had been bothering me--namely, Storm Trooper Chloe. I hope Chloe pays attention to the message of family, it's definitely what she needs. And she needs to understand that duty doesn't mean sacrifice of everything else that makes you human. She should remember back in the day: Clark, and Pete and her, the little family that could. If she realizes that making family like that isn't childish, it's necessary, she'll be okay. Me, that's the most I got from the ep--that and the team is only as good as the leader and Clark is smart enough to know he's still got some growing to do--a "
work in progress" indeed. But he's smarter about himself and he's really growing those leader-ly qualities. He's so beyond that self-centered teenager now, still got a way to go but he's heading there a lot faster than I thought was possible.
I loved the bits of humor in this super-ep. Hawkman warmed the cockles of my little walnut-like heart--he looked so damn proud of Green Arrow, at the end. And what the fuck--Oliver didn't make me want to stab him in the guts, yay! Speaking oif Hawkman, Michael Shanks did a great job, I thought. That was a hard role to pull off and I liked what he did. And it was a pleasure to haveJackie Childs J'onn J'onzz back (heeee, that will *always* be funny to me!) Is it just me, or did everyone seem a little more human, a little more warm, in the second part? *G*
Guys, guys--will Clark ever say Lex's name *not* like the name of the love of his life, who smashed his heart into a billion pieces even though they both knew love was still there? He just does this thing with his eyes and the tone of his voice--it's the way he says Lex that just gets me. Okay, okay, yes, Clex til I die but still--*sigh*
My boy looked omg, gorgeous! He's so much prettier than Lois that if she wasn't such a brass-balled bitch, they'd never be able to get close because she'd never believe So Much Pretty would want her. Am I right? Sure I'm right.
In conclusion--this season is better than I thought it could ever be! Go Thomas!

2/7/10 11:54 pm (UTC)Clex! *sighs with you* Man, I miss Lex. *sniffle*
*grabby hands*
LEX!!!! Come back to ShOW! *weeps*
ETA: Still, for all that its been an awesome season so far!
roxy knows the truth
2/7/10 11:59 pm (UTC)They'll compare notes about Lex. At night. In bed. Sometimes when they're fighting. And then have crazy, nasty, jealous, half make-up, half pissed-off sex....
Re: roxy knows the truth
2/8/10 12:05 am (UTC)Cos you are so very right.
I still miss him, though. :(
Brex!
Clex.
*weeps*
Cluce? or. . . Brark?
hug?

Great comments...
2/7/10 11:54 pm (UTC)Funny thing about this episode was I really liked the fact that clark and lois didn't share much screen time. I like them both better when they are on their own. I liked lois researching the heros without clarks help. She was much more likable for me this way.
The only thing that would have made it all perfect is if clark joined them all for dinner. That would have been win!
Re: Great comments...
2/8/10 12:11 am (UTC)I think we need to have a scene or many with all of them having dinner together--no drama, just being a team.

2/8/10 12:11 am (UTC)And ... um ... is it wrong that I kind of want to put Hawkman with Green Arrow?

2/8/10 12:40 am (UTC)I still want to stab Oliver though. Every. fucking. time. *sigh*

2/8/10 01:24 am (UTC)It's a perfectly valid reaction to Oliver. I found myself warming to him tonight, but I reread my Lex Kills Ollie story and felt better. :)

2/8/10 12:42 am (UTC)Tommy managing to keep the Clex alive all by himself, bless him! *cuddles him*

Phil Morris is so lovely. And I agree that Tom brought out the warm fuzzies for part 2.

2/8/10 09:23 am (UTC)Speaking of Hawkman, Michael Shanks did a great job, I thought.
He and Brent Strait were absolutely perfect. Shanks sold Hawkman to me. I wanted him to lead me. And he portrayed the grief and deep seated loss so perfectly. And I just loved how he gave Oliver a taste of his own medicine. I will never stop laughing about "Green Punching Bag".

NEVER! He'll never stop saying it with a mix of hope and fear. It's like finding out that an ex-boyfriend is single. Yeah, you're in a solid relationship and loving it, but you have unfinished business with this other person.
