...how long do you think it's gonna take for *those* icons to surface? You know, the Sammy zombie barf icons. The zombie barf that kinda sorta looked like...*koff* Come on! I wasn't the only one!

They TOTALLY know about fandom freakishness. Every last one of us. Individually. They KNOW there's a whole category of fic called Wincest facial, with Sam/Dean and Dean/Sam variations. They know who writes it. They know where those people LIVE.

Next week, on Supernatural: They're going to NAME NAMES.

Sometimes SHOW just freaks me the fuck out. I'm not kidding.

*nods* It's a little bizarre how much they cater to the fans--or make fun of them, depending on which camp you're in. I've seen tiny references to slash on other shows, little things that let you know they know, but for some reason this show decided to go *there* with a vengeance. I don't mind myself, I think it's pretty funny. On the other hand, I'm absolutely horrified if, at cons,someone mentions Our Thing to the actors or ask horribly inappropriate questions related to This Thing Of Ours.

Meaning, I guess I'm cool with everything as long as I don't have to deal with it personally. Which makes me--human. *g*

You've just nailed the reason I will never go to another fandom-specific con where actors are involved. I love fandom, I love fic, I love the whole darn thing, and I cannot understand why anyone in it would want to smudge the hard line between us and the actors.

I just don't get that at all. Our world is our world. It's a sekrit klubhouse. They're not invited.

Only a fellow fan would understand that statement.
