What does the cross on Sam's shirt mean? It was too damn obvious to be random, right?

I've spent all afternoon writing a story in my head I'll probably never write because fandom hates Dean with anyone but Sam or Cas, and I *LOVE* Dean with OMCs. Any rare time I find one I click on it. Feel free to rec me any, I love them--in fact, I love Sam with OMCs too.

I do *not* like Clark with OMCs, or Lex with an OMC. Isn't that odd? I wonder why...I believed in Clex, but I'm willing to go beyond that. Lex is also pretty with Bruce, Whit or Jason, but not OCs.

I see SpN fandom is freaking out over that soul-mate thing. It's nice, but certainly not outrageous, no matter what kind of face Ash pulled. Why not? Being soul-mates doesn't have to be sexual. Also, I think folks have more than one soul-mate. I like to think that the folks we know and love in this life, we'll meet in the next. Maybe that friend you're so close to will be a sibling in the next life. Or--and this is more likely--I'm full of shit. *waves*

I know, sweetie! They don't do anything on that show without a reason. You know, he's been denying the devil like someone else I know did, after all.

If you write your story I would love to read it. You do OC's that I love and always totally believe in. I love your writing so much I'm just glad to get to read it, no matter what you decide to share. :)

I like to think that the folks we know and love in this life, we'll meet in the next.

Well, I believe in reincarnation, and I think there are circles of souls who meet in their various lives to learn together. So.

Saying that people who loved each other in life wouldn't be happy without that person in death, well… I don't think that's THAT outrageous. Although everyone being in their own personal heaven instead of with these people… I'm with Dean. That's bizarro heaven!

Maybe the OMC thing has to do with the fact that there's like… nobody on the show to pair them with, really? No one reoccurring, anyway, besides Cas. HH ships Dean with Lex, of course.

No kidding. I would love for the show to throw everything on its ear and let Sam be the one who truly saves the day.

And, by that I mean making his hard-headed doofus of a brother realize that Sam shows him how much he loves him all of the time. That they've been a team all of their lives. Some rigged by an asshole view of Heaven doesn't change that fundamental truth between them.

I've seen Sam/Gabriel fics about. Not quite OMC but still a bit different. I'm surprised that there hasn't been more Lucifer fic or more fics including young!John.

Honestly, I'm too shallow to enjoy Sam/Gabriel fics. Gabriel is not attractive to me, and that's a main factor for me. I'd read fic concerning Lucifer but only gen--same for young!John. And I'm really surprised there
s no fic that doesn't involve Mary. That man is a goldmine of fic--AUs are crying out to be written starring John. Plus, he's a VietNam vet. There's fic there to be written! But not by me. :)

I think the 'soulmates' thing simply confirms what we all know - Sam and Dean are each other's one true loves, and they will not *ever* love anyone like they love each other.

And yeah, doesn't have to be sexual - though it so easily can be - but it does mean that any relationship they have outside of each other will always come in just a teeny bit second.

I guess i don't like Dean or Sam with an oc so much just because it makes me sad, because normally those stories are written in such a way that Sam or Dean is kind of...out of the picture, and that's just....

Oh gosh yes, that's so very true! Not that they won't ever love whoever they end up with, they will love them like burning--but it's just a fact that if one brother needs another, they'll drop everything to get to them.

I can see that it would be upsetting--I just don't get fics in which if one or the other isn't in the picture, they live the lives of monks. Makes no sense. Besides, I'm always throwing my characters on somebody before they get to their OTL. ;)

Off topic, I have been sorting through 5000 html files that I have saved from 2006 upwards and I have to tell you that some of the best Smallville fics I have saved from the SSA were by you! LOL how ironic is that? Do you remember your wonderful OMC Adam in "Deal"? He worked for me because he looked like Clark for me in your descriptions of him.

Actually, I think the U may not be so A. The writers are fond of the knife-twist, and they've already hung the Archangel on the wall, so to speak. It'd explain the long absences with the boys inadequately supervised, the super-hunter mystique, and the 100 years in Hell without breaking before he busted out and held Azazel still long enough for Dean to kill him.
