My ass is so *SORE*!! And my shoulders and my back and my neck and--everything but my ankles, really. I haven't worked in the yard for ages and ages, and just jumping in like that was crazy, yes, but also fun. I forgot how much I liked it. No more planting for me, though--mostly we're going to undo all the work I did years ago. Gardens are not attractive when you let them go. *hangs head in shame*

I'm about to respond to comments, and maybe post about another good old story I read lately. What's up with ya'll this weekend?

Yard work is toooooooo hard. Plus, biting bugs.

I'm still recovering. Will this never end? Blah.

I just had what felt like my first 'real' garden day yesterday and it seriously kicked my ass, so I know what you mean. ;)

*clings* we share the pain! Oy, the having to explain that "Yes, we really do need to do it this way, if we want to get rid of weeds without poisoning the entire land...."

You started off with that first sentence on purpose, didn't you? I snorfled and then realized what I was thinking was completely out of context, thankyouverymuch!

Good on you for, uh, gardening. I try to stay indoors as much as I can during these sunny, sunny, sunburn-y days we're now entering, but I do recall my previous life as an indentured servant and the daily task of "Hey, why don't you kids go out there and. . . weed something, or walk the dog, or mow the lawn, or just, you know, not be around so damn much now that school's out? How's that sound? Mom needs some Mom-Time."

Anyway, YAY for you!!! XD *gently pats you on the back* Hey, as for fic-ish things, go check out my lj for a Clex picspam -- seriously massive one! There may be some drooling involved. . .

Heeeee!!! I'm share-y, but not *that* share-y...I don't think. *looks all befoozled* hunh. Maybe I am...anyhoo! I wish I had your mom's talent. My kids were the world's *worst* indentured servants. I guess my memories of my own indentured servitude kept me from throwing my weight around that much. Though they did learn to make a mean pot of coffee...*GGG*

Oooooo--I *need* a picspam right about now--trying to write a season one Clex ficlet. Is haaaard.

Eeep! I have to get ready to do some yardwork soon myself. We had our front yard dug up from sewer line work over the winter so all our rosebushes need replanted and some replaced. As much as I love working with the flowers, I don't look forward to the actual work. :P lol

And starting your post My ass is so *SORE*!! made me go O.O. Umm... Roxy??? Then I read the rest and it made sense. lol *g*

*huggles and ♥*

As much as I love working with the flowers, I don't look forward to the actual work

Omg, so much truth to that, hah!

LOL!!! MY FLIST THINKS I'M AN OVERSHARING SICKO!!!

It just so happens I'm not this time. *GRINS*

Clay is a nightmare, I hear! So much amending to get it growable! Where we are, it's kind of sandy, but lots of compost fixes that. At least we're not under pines or too close to the shore. :)

I bet if you tell Mr. Roxy about this, he's going to laugh himself silly.

And well red clay is WONDERFUL as far as minerals go, all it needs is some organics mixed into it.

BUT it's a sticky uncooperative mess to try and work with`.
