Today I had a half hour lunch and I looked forward to my coffee and some delicious J2. Instead, I had twenty minutes of it stolen by someone who Would Not Shut Up. I thought that if I pointedly stared at my kindle and made non-committal noises she would go away but no. God, no. Normally I would have just held the thing up and said, do you fucking mind, but this person is, how shall we say, delicate. Like precariously balanced on the edge of sanity. And sometimes, I'm nice, even when I'm not being paid to be I'm not feeling it. This is why I should sit out in the van for lunch. I don't normally work long enough to have a lunch. I guess she was just excited to see me sitting, with no way to sprint away.

One more sleep, and then, and then--*WIGGLES*

OMG, how do people somehow think you're listening to them (or that you want to) when you're clearly reading? Or have earbuds in, staring at your iPod screen? I don't want to fucking socialize with people on my lunch break--it negates the entire "break" portion of the equation, JFC. And we only get a half hour, too, so it's not like you have time to actually go somewhere else--it's sit down in the break room, wolf down your food and then try to enjoy the last 15 or 20 minutes.

Chatters DRIVE. ME. BATSHIT.

See, this is why I love LJ! It makes me feel good to know lots of folks feel the same way I do, because the people at work act like you're some kind of freak for not wanting to talk to them *on your break*!!

People--can't live with them--can't bury them in the back yard.
