what makes me happy

It's been kind of crappy in roxyland lately, stuff happening, me being an asshole--it's not been pretty. but there's something that makes me happy, shallow and self-centered it may be. What the hell--it makes me smile. At the AO3, (yes, my happy place--well, my alternate happy place) This story, The Persistence of Vision which some of you might remember, has gathered 99 hits. Why, you ask, does such a paltry collection of hits make you happy MizzRose? Well, I'll tell you. I didn't expect anyone to read a seriously dub-con Lex/Whitney story. I've written Clark/Whitney because it's almost logical, right? But Lex and Whit, not so much. As it turned out, they worked pretty well, even without sandwiching Clark between them (can i get a OT3?)

Also, omg, how did I not know I spelled persistence wrong??!!! How did no one tell me...*headslap*

Okay! So, I was going to go on about why I thought Lex and Whit worked so well, but it boils down to Whit being the ultimate victim in my canon, and for reasons that have more to do with me and not the Show. That's part of the fanfic fun, though, right, twisting canon in a way that people will accept. In our world, if you say it often enough, it becomes true. Oh, wait a min, that's pretty much a universal, isn't it? *G*

Here's to hoping LJ will someday cough up my notifications, and lets me post shit.

Oh, fuck, I remember that story now! (Just went to refresh my memory and left you some kudos.) Man, I need to reread that sucker! It was pretty twisted as I recall, but then when is your work not deliciously warped (and you know I say that from a place of absolute love)?

I'm sorry Life seems to be sucking right now. It has a bad habit of doing that, doesn't it? Let me know if I can do anything.

Also, I second that motion for the SV OT3! As long as it involves Lex&Clark, and doesn't include Oliver (or Lana, come to think of it) in any capacity, I'm for pretty much any OT3 imaginable. Of course, you know my personal SV OT3 of choice, but yours here is really just as pretty and succulent. XD *throws confetti for no other reason than that you need some happy spontaneous nutjob-ery in your life right now. . . and it's sexy OT3 confetti, so what's not to like, right?*

speaking of vanilla, i'm currently playing with another glee fan's abandoned WIP, turning it really kinky-dark and pornographic. no one else will see it, beside me myself, but it's a fun exercise to let myself type what's in my head. btw, the glee kink meme prompts often make me want to barf...
