Dear my friends,
2/4/14 10:04 pmYou know I love Sam, I love him almost as much as Dean loves him, except of course given a chance, I'd jump that, but tonight? I just wanted to slap that boy silly. Both of them!! I'll say no more. *glares at TV, snivels silently*

2/5/14 04:54 pm (UTC)I wish that they had written what Sam said better. I don't believe for a minute he meant he wouldn't save Dean.
I totally agree with you. I know he didn't mean that the way it sounded either. That's the thing. We, the audience, knows he didn't mean that because we aren't wrapped up in it the same way Dean is. At ground zero, that must have sounded AWFUL to Dean, like a total rejection of him and everything he's done. But we *know* Sam didn't mean it quite like that.
I think in a way, it was the same as Sam saying he was ready to die--he didn't mean he wanted to die, he wasn't suicidal, but he was tired as hell, and ready for some peace, deserving of some peace. He knew where he was going, and probably how it would play out and I couldn't really blame him. I also think it would be in character for him to resent Dean for that. *throws up hands*
BOYS! They're too complicated sometimes!
