It really is but Crowley has wanted Dean so bad, as Giles' said, 'The subtext is rapidly becoming text' since day one that, even though he knows on a fundamental level that this is the last thing Dean would want: 'I never lied to you Dean. Remember that. Please. It's important.' he couldn't take the chance of losing him. In a way it's similar to what Dean did with Sam, except for the whole, actually explaining himself and his reasons BEFORE doing it and asking permission. It has honestly taken me the last two days to process everything that's happened this last season and I'm going to have to rewatch it in it's entirety, to fully get everything I'm sure I missed. But damned if this show didn't break me into little pieces on Tueseday.
Oh, I definitely have to rewatch the last ep, *and* the whole season. I think I missed a lot because of what was said. I also paid too much attention to the fans. Now I can calmly rewatch and catch what I missed.
I'm actually rewatching everything from the beginning because now I'm seeing patterns that I never noticed before. While I don't think the original intent was to build it into a 10 year run, at the same time, my husband pointed out, that shows like this always have a show bible and they may have dropped in things in previous seasons that were basically, 'If we get another year we can use this to tie everything back' and I'm seeing a lot of stuff in the first three years that ties into this year which is mind blowing to me.
Right? I catch things sometimes that make me go all eyes--I like the way they hark back to the beginning--and now we have Dean's worst nightmare come true. Not only his nightmare about turning, but it's as if his *greatest* nightmare, losing Sam to hell, has been visited on him.
Yes! Tell yourself it's like 'Big Brother' and there are cameras following you all day. So you can be the awesome, perfect, happy-go-lucky, friendly retail person, or you can be the retail person who makes people run screaming (the more fun option).
I cried too. Loved Dean's final words to Sam and both guys were amazing in that scene. I cried along with Sam. All season long, I was wondering how they would tie things together and wrap things up. I hate the Bloodlines ep and thought it should have been executed much better. I am not surprised it wasn't picked up because I was not drawn into it at all.
I am really looking forward to next season. Can't wait to see Sam's reaction-it is like Dean's worst nightmare. Crowley has always wanted to be bros with Dean like Castiel is, so now he has his chance. I think it is great that Jensen will have his chance to have some fun. Jared has done it a lot-demon blood Sam, Lucifer, The Saminator, Out of the Pit Sam, and Gadriel Sam. I have already watched the finale three times and I really need to re-watch the whole season. I didn't like all the eps,but the finale made up for a lot. I haven't abandoned the show and will hang in there until the end. How've you been roxy? I haven't been by here in years. Have been so busy and My computer died on me!
I was so surprised to see you here--what a *nice* surprise! I'm good, I'm good--same old, you know! ;)
While I wasn't in crazy in love with the whole season, i enjoyed it more often than not--they had great ideas and shocking reveals here and there and the ender made me yell out loud. I can't WAIT until the premiere!
And so agree with you about Jensen having his time to stretch. Jared really got a work out the last couple of seasons and I loved it, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Jensen brings to a demon Dean.
I haven't rewatched yet but I will (nerves, lol!) I'm glad you're on board to the end with us! season ten is going to be great! Check in when you can--and don't forget, the BB is posting soon--yay! Every day, a birthday gift--*grins*
