I can't stop replaying that last moment in my head. Poor Dean. It's his worst nightmare come true.

It's what he was always afraid of. Crowley couldn't have done anything worse to Dean--and to Sam. :(

It really is but Crowley has wanted Dean so bad, as Giles' said, 'The subtext is rapidly becoming text' since day one that, even though he knows on a fundamental level that this is the last thing Dean would want: 'I never lied to you Dean. Remember that. Please. It's important.' he couldn't take the chance of losing him. In a way it's similar to what Dean did with Sam, except for the whole, actually explaining himself and his reasons BEFORE doing it and asking permission.
It has honestly taken me the last two days to process everything that's happened this last season and I'm going to have to rewatch it in it's entirety, to fully get everything I'm sure I missed.
But damned if this show didn't break me into little pieces on Tueseday.

Oh, I definitely have to rewatch the last ep, *and* the whole season. I think I missed a lot because of what was said. I also paid too much attention to the fans. Now I can calmly rewatch and catch what I missed.

I'm actually rewatching everything from the beginning because now I'm seeing patterns that I never noticed before. While I don't think the original intent was to build it into a 10 year run, at the same time, my husband pointed out, that shows like this always have a show bible and they may have dropped in things in previous seasons that were basically, 'If we get another year we can use this to tie everything back' and I'm seeing a lot of stuff in the first three years that ties into this year which is mind blowing to me.

Right? I catch things sometimes that make me go all eyes--I like the way they hark back to the beginning--and now we have Dean's worst nightmare come true. Not only his nightmare about turning, but it's as if his *greatest* nightmare, losing Sam to hell, has been visited on him.

man, this show is wicked.
