Good news! We talked to the surgeon yesterday, and he was certain, looking at Mr. R's scans, that there was *no* tumor on the pituitary gland. He said that it was swollen, but this was also extremely common and not anything to worry too much about. Blood tests will come next and if they are clear, all he has to do next is get another scan in six months. Doctor said there may be a possibility that Mr. R is experiencing ocular migraine without pain. Has anyone ever heard of such a thing? He isn't experiencing any other migraine-like symptoms.

I'm so beyond relieved I actually feel a little stunned, guys. I'm so glad that I can share some good news with you!

It's a lot better than it used to be. I only get them 2-3 times a year instead of once a week like when they started.

Huh. Well, I wouldn't press hard enough to hurt and I would hold it for maybe 30 seconds or so. For me I start seeing geometric shapes, black and white triangles and squares as if I was staring into a monochrome kaleidoscope.

XD At least he doesn't have a hole in his head. My ear surgeon told me after I had my second mastoidectomy that I literally had a hole in my head (tiny, tiny thing) leading from my ear to my brain. Kinda freaky to hear but hey, I get to say I DO have a hole in my head. Since healed over but bragging rights remain. *blows a raspberry at life*
