I just finished your stories (in two days no less! It was soooooo long that I have to cut them up, hahahha) and like to say that I really love them!
I really love Ripley, though I hated how they could just forget about the ethical thing with Lex killing off Lana (as hateful as she was). I mean, though that's the reason why Clark left in the first place...
I was a little sad about how there was little character development with Jordan coughsthreesomcoughs cause he sounds like a totally cool guy, who cares if he's Mary Marty Sue (I hope I'm right though, I stopped watching SV halfway through season 1.)
Thanks very much--i really appreciate you letting me know you read them! And I know, they did ignore that whole murdering Lana thing--but than it would be a story about how Clark and Lex never reconnected again. Someone might be able to make that work but it would have to be someone more skilled than me. :)
Ah, Jordan--the landscapes of my stories are strewn with the corpses of OC's. Yep, he's a Marty Sue--(cute, that!) I'm glad you liked him, though, he was a lot of fun for me to write! Thanks again for reading!
I can't tell you how much I love these. I especially love what you've done with part two. It was amazing. Simply amazing. I've been coming back to it for three days to re-read my favorite parts. I like the way you portray Clark and I love Lex as a parent and I really love Jordan and how his role evolved in the second part. I couldn't be happier that he and Lex ended up being so close. Thank you for writing this.
I love this. Like crazy. It took me forever to get around to reading the second part, but eventually I did and I love it so so much, even if it did make me so sad for Lex and how he punishes himself in parts. Lexie is a joy. *squeezes her* I'm glad she ended up being a forth Lana instead of half. That would have been hard on everyone.
Lex did the right thing, offing her! I'm sure of that. Jonathan had it straight. She was a threat to Lex's family, and Lex took care of it. Same as offing Nixon. Also, wow! Clark became a man-ho! I guess while he was growning up he had to get his experience so he wouldn't be wondering if he was too dependent on Lex.
Wow-this was so nice to get today! thank you! I'm glad you liked her, I liked her too. it was fun writing her. Almost too much fun, lol!
Also, wow! Clark became a man-ho! It's my not so secret kink--I kind of love the idea of sweet Clark, working his way through the guys of Metropolis! thanks so much for reading this and thanks for letting me know--you made me a happy Roxy! :)
I just had to re-read this. I still love it. Clark's horrible indecision about his sexuality is so perfect. I think it's universal, male or female, we still really just don't know until that little switch goes on and then it's like, "OH. Yeah. Okay."
I loved Lex stalking Clark and Jordan all over again, and I am all sad that they really have to stop being together because there must be CLex.
And your descriptions of Clark's terror at his physiological changes are just creepy and exciting and strangely hot at the same time. How do you DO that?
*hugs you bunches and goes off to read the second part*
Ripley let out an excited yell as she pulled a huge bag from Metropolis' most famous toy store from the back seat. "Look Daddy, look what Unca Jordan sent me!"
She was holding a bright red truck, nearly as big as she was.
Lex grinned at Clark and said, "Do you think your dad will let her keep it?"
This is just about the funniest thing. EVER. :)
This is STILL my favorite story. You just do everything so right here.
And as much as I don't want to see Clark dating anyone but Jordan or Lex, he is a bit of a, well, for lack of a better word, whore.
Lex, so noble and dignified and HOW can Clark not see? But he doesn't.
And Lex so just wants him and Ripley back... oh, that almost hurts that he's bending so far backward to make things easy for Clark.
And that Jonathan GETS what Lex did and why--that is such a masterstroke.
Lexie listening to the tapes and yay, my heroine! She should go after Lex. Someone needs to, or those boys will do their own stupid idiocy forever.
Oh, I forgot that she reacts to the news of Lana's death and Lex takes it so badly, but he does the noble thing. Ouch. My heart hurts for him, but YAY.
Ripley to the rescue, because they just can't SEE.
HAH! "UncaJor" and his Shi--dang. :D Love him!
"Your dad..." He shook his head. "Some day, you're going to meet someone who's gonna be the most important person in the world to you, and if they have a good soul, nothing they do, or are, will frighten you."
Made me cry. So good!
And Yes, Clark IS a Cornball. ANd I can SO see him laughing with popcorn in his teeth. Bahaha!
Fire. Flash fire. Haha! *cheers Ripley on!*
*chokes* "...All his skin was off." *dies laughing*
Little Irving and Greg. eee hee hee!
And Lexie embarrassed at the sight of her dad's "old" truck. *snerks* (yeah, been there done that one!)
I am glad Lex allowed himself Aaron, even though Aaron's a clark-substitute. It just feels better that he did.
and I read and read and--Lex getting furious was beautiful and frightening and I can see his eyes glowing. He's been so good for so long.
Clark calling Lex, making him admit at least a little that he wants him back. "Come home." Sad and poignant, and such a relief.
*sigh*
I love this next bit SO much. 10 years of make-up sex! YES! And you are so lyrical and beautiful about it, because it's tender and funny and sweet and then rough and wonderful. *loves*
And I love that Jor and Ripley get Lex thinking about Clark's abilities just as Clark is doing somthing with them, YAY!
And that he took jonathan up--Made me cry again. Perfect moment, perfect because it's something about Clark that he shared with his father, who would so appreciate that. And funny, I didn't want it to be Lex up in the air, that first time; Much as Lex has been there for Clark, I think Jonathan's (in your story!) had maybe a tougher time in some respects and yet his support was unwavering.
But yes that Lex was second? Who else could it be?
Hah. Black and purple bat falling from the sky! Hmmm!
and Lying recipe pictures. WORD. They DO.
Irving is just so precious.
Okay. Again I just adored this all to pieces. *HUGS*
oy, you made me cry. I'm just sitting here all snively and wet. thanks so much! I can't stop reading your feedback--it's like being hooked up to a great big old battery and getting charged up again! You're so good for my raggedy sense of self-confidence. *HUGHUG* Thanks again for reminding me there were some really good bits in this story! Weird how it went from being a show of support for Hero into being the birth of one of my own fav characters! *SHMOOCH* you're so very kind to me!
You deserve every word. Seriously. And -- you know, I really don't think they (clark and lex) ignored the whole ethical issue of Lana's death. I think that Clark just forgave Lex. FINALLY. I mean he did put poor lex through how many years of hell? Lex paid, and in full, and yeah, it didn't go to a court, but wtf? How is that to happen? Lexie and clark's alien-ness would come out. NO. Defeats the whole purpose.
