I have 4000 words of Mariposa that I can't use because I think I really need to add an episode that seemed to me to be minor, but in order to help heal the rift between Clark and Pete, I need it. Crap. Clark is never going to get any...I can use this stuff later, I guess. Gaaaaaaawwwd this thing is going to be fat.

I think I'm going to drop a meteor on the town and put Clark on a bus--with a cardboard suitcase and a song in his heart--he's got dancing feet and he knows that the bright lights of Metropolis are waiting for him--the Big Nectarine! The Great Wide Way! All Dancing, All Singing! Why, if he can just get his huge foot in the door, he's got a chance! If he can make it there--he can make it--anywhere! He stares at his reflection in the bus window and grins at himself.. Yep, tomorrow he was going to wake up in the city that never sleeps…well, it did sleep—but it went to bed really really late and got up pretty darn early, you bet. Mrs. Kent's little boy was going to be a Star!

LOL!!!! Well, now you know how I spent my Saturday afternoons as a kid--watching The Gold Diggers and Fred and Gene and Ruby and Ginger...I can so see Clark as a chorus boy in the far back row, dancing his little heart out..."lookit me, Ma, I'm on top of the world!"

DAMN that Kryptonian! Invulnerable or not, he badly needs to get smacked around. And Lex needs to be cuddled and loved for a lifetime or two (for which job I would gladly volunteer until Clark finally comes to his senses and shows up to take over for me).
