Here's the thing--I've been writing happily away on this SpN thing—oh, there's an SV story in the works too--shhhhhh--anyhoo, happily fuzting around with this thing, with back-pats and atta-girls to myself, the stepping back and grabbing mine ample cheeks and squeezing—who's a great clever writer than, who's an uzzy-wuzzy story-teller—thasright, iz yooooo!

Happy, you know? So I'm at work today(Hello Targeh, did you miss me?) and suddenly it hits me--this story is impossible! (i mean, more than usual)The idea being that a poor orphan of the storm moves in with the Winchesters who are temporarily housed in a kind of suburban neighborhood. I was all liking the idea--teh angst, teh drama--when of course, TVreality kicked in. John would beat the living crap out of those boys if they brought some poor little match boy home. Shit.

So, what I'm asking here is, can I just play logic off and go with it? Do you think other folks would be willing to meet me there? I *think* I can see a way to make it work somewhat. I turn to you, my friends, and ask you what you think? Think--ha! you know what I want! *makes the anime eyes*

Plus, there'll be cooooooookies….

It depends on your version of John. Is he around a lot? Is he out on hunts most days and/or weekends?

And, maybe it's just me, but I don't think he would kick out the orphan. He wouldn't like it, and he'd tell Dean to get that kid the hell out of there, but he'd feed him/her. He'd let the kid sleep there, too, I think.

But. . . that's just me. I, for one, totally would meet you on the suspension-of-disbelief train, my friend. Don't you worry 'bout that! Write it! Please? I love your stories (Yay for more SV!!). I can't live without my fix! *grabby hands*

This John is away a lot, leaving Dean in charge. I've gone with a more supportive John, 'cause I like that flavor best.

See, that's what I like to think. I always think of John as being really old school service to the bone, and those guys might have not won father of the year, but they tended to be fair in their own way--I guess I think of my dad a lot when I write John. TVJohn though...I think he would kick the kid out--they seem to have been awfully isolated...but he was kind of friends with guys like Bobby, who wouldn't have. Anyhoo, folks who like supportive John will maybe go for this...Yeah! *G*

Thanks for your opinion, sweetie! I've got a lot on this fic already--I might start posting soon.
