I happened to be thinking about this subject lately, so I was very surprised to see it's being knocked around. I'm thinking that yes, it's a good thing to warn people, and now that I see how it's possible to do so without spoiling your story or whatnot, I will. Most of my personal posts aren't really all that personal and if it is something extremely personal, I stuff it behind a cut, I also have filters, but doing that to a *story* (unless it's in tryouts--i do that sometimes) kind of defeats the purpose of posting it, right? So, remind me to do the warning thing from now on. You know I'm going to forget about a bazillion times before it becomes habit. Also, please don't rush to tell me why it's not a good idea, and how you'll never do it, because I don't care.

6/25/09 01:59 am (UTC)Well, yeah. *g* I'd be lying if I said that I didn't set out to get a strong reaction from The Dog, but really, I wasn't expecting it to be as grueling as it was. It wore me out writing it. The Russian one, Firebird, did have some really squicky moments, true.
Squicky--hah! Parts of that bitch were sick as shit! The good old days....
