So you've taken it to one of those specialist places? There are shops that specialise in disk recovery. Not always expensive, but they can often recover the majority of files.

*nods* There's a place not far from Mr. R's job. They say they might be able to recover some files, for a price that frankly makes me gag, but then again, I'm awfully poor.
