You know when folks tell you back your shit up, and you say, 'yeah, yeah, sure I will--tomorrow.' Well, tomorrow never comes, or rather it comes when you least expect it. All my shit is looooooost. I cry bitter fucking tears, my friends.

This sucks. Oh well. What are you gonna do, hah? Stiff upper lip, my dears.

Say, Bobby's on The Mentalist! I missed all of it, pooh!

No! Was it on your harddrive or a thumbdrive? There's a program that recovers docs. Say, if you deleted a previous version of it. Would that help or is it just eaten up by the computers?

Also, that sucks butt! ::cries with you::

i once accidentally deleted my entire harddrive. why the computer gave me that as a casual option to choose, i do not know. my older son managed to save a lot of stuff, but some crucially important things were corrupted and never recovered, and i still regret that. it was like having a stroke and losing memory.

i notice that dawnybee has suggested a recovery tool. if you try it, i hope it works.

God I feel for you! I experienced something similar a few years ago, my entire harddrive crashed. Wouldn't boot, wouldn't even access through another computer. It was a short in one of the circuits and unfortunately I did have to send it to one of those specialists.

A few weeks later a friend of mine experienced the same thing, only hers was due to a husband that was cheating on her and was randomly deleting files to "hide his tracks" and all of her digital photos of her babies were lost.

I ended up using Recuva on her system since it wasn't a physical crash like mine. And it did manage to find all of her pictures as well as a *lot* of his. Maybe it'll help you find some files on yours if it's not a physical error.
