No! Was it on your harddrive or a thumbdrive? There's a program that recovers docs. Say, if you deleted a previous version of it. Would that help or is it just eaten up by the computers?

I've got recent stuff on my flashdrive but all my pics, my PDFs of 'I Done Flounced Off The Internet' fics, my vids, my gay porn vids--*sobs* Stuff from my early days of fandom...it makes me sad, and makes me wish I wasn't a dummy. *cliiings*

Really? Heee, I can just see Mr. R's face...let us figure out how to do this sending of porn, yes! Maybe after I build up my accounts--this fixing the laptop is going to be a wildly expensive thing--plus I have to replace my disc drive which is fucked. It's a rain and pour kind of thing.

I lost everything last year due to a virus (and the killing part was that I didn't back up anything despite having a external harddrive still in the box ), but the computer place I took it too recovered pretty much everything. What I lost permanently were the program files that I had to reinstall, but the rest was retrieved, although some was corrupted.

I used this program to restore files I accidentally deleted on my thumbdrive and it worked.

Perhaps, maybe, just maybe if you did a System Restore to an earlier date it'd undue the possible virus? System Restore is my equivalent of Superman turning the world backwards.
