I owe thanks to romyra for an *AWESOME* gift, to priscel for the cutest dang snowpeople who are now known as Mr and Mrs SnowRoxy--I mean real thanks not just this mention and I will thank you, not to mention lapetite_kiki, who made me go awwwwww when I opened her card....

I haven't been around much lately, just kind of dropping in and dashing out because RL has been pretty rough lately. Between me royally and stupidly fucking up with the IRS and running back and forth to the hospital and worrying about my dad and my job, things have been kind of terrible really. And today, my dad's nursing home called me and asked me to come in because he wasn't doing well. He passed away tonight at 10 pm. We were all there with him, from morning until night, so he was never alone. I'm still, I don't know, in shock or something. It doesn't seem real. I want to talk about him some more but not tonight. Tonight, I just want to fall in bed and not think about anything.

I wish you'd been there when Mr. R opened the card. The look of surprise and just plain wonder on his face was adorable. He thought it was *beautiful* and set it on a table a little closer to his desk than to mine. ;) Thank you darling one, it was a very thoughtful--and *very* well appreciated--gift! *HUGS*
