Fandom shift time again. I see folks are slowly strolling away to the Brand New Thing. Sadly, once again, I'm not very much into the new thing, new thing being the Avengers. The only pairing I'm interested in there is Phil/Steve, and I don't even like Steve. *sigh* Oh well, say lavee. Kay Sarah Sarah.

Also, Dear SpN fandom, more Sam and Dean, a wee smidge less J2, more thinky future fic and a tad less BDSM porn. In conclusion, all you damn kids, get the hell off my lawn.*throws cats*

Will do. Something I've never read before, or rereads too? I'm currently on a reread of "Screw You, We're From Texas" by makeit_takeit. Have you read it before? It's an AU of J2 and what their lives might have been like had they not become successful actors.

Give me a heads up on your next pick--I just finished rereading Mismanaged by macbyrne, it's angsty as all get out but one I enjoy reading.

I'm not sure what I'll read next. What are your preferences, and what to you not like? As I said before, I love J2 (high school or college) or most anything else that's not other-worldly or too weird. I prefer NC17, but if the fic is well-written, I can read any rating. I don't like death fics or dark fics. I also have no problem with het fic. I prefer AU but some non-AU is ok. I just don't like it when the wives are made out to be the bad ones. I can read fic with the gang of friends included, but my ships are strictly J2 (and Dean/Sam.)

For SPN, I can read anything from gen to wincest, but again, just Dean/Sam pairing. I like curtain fic also. (That's what I write.) I love caring, big brother Dean. Wee! and teen!chesters are also down my alley.

I'm a recent convert to mpreg, as long as it's well-written. Injured/sick/mentally handicapped guys work for me. I'm not a huge fan of crack, but I've read a few stories that I really liked.

I'm probably forgetting something but I can add it later.

Let's see...I don't read het. I can deal with a bit, (as long as it moves the fic to my OTP) but just not story length. I'm not an mpreg person, not a huge crack fan but like you say, if it's well written, I'll read it. (not all that sure what constitutes crack anymore, lol!) I'm good with both AU and not AU but no wife bashing or mention of real life children.

I'm not a huge dark fic fan as far as J2, but I'll read it in SpN if there's a happy ending (there are some excellent stories with darkSam, or morally unclear Sam out there) . I don't read death fics often.

I like stories where there are other relationships for the guys but only temp ones--it has to end in the OTP or I'm not happy. I *LOVE* Sam/Dean curtain fic, and I like gen too if it's really kind of close to slash, hah!

I can deal with manipulative, coercive wee!Sam (my favorite flavor) but not Dean. It's rape then and I don't like thinking of my Dean that way. Unless it's so well written that it overrides my squick. Actually, just add that as a caveat to everything. Also shmoop and angst. I'm all about the shmoopy angst. *G*

Well, we're on the same page with enough of our likes I think we can find something to read together. Is your OTP the same as mine, or are you ok with other pairings for the guys too? I'm just not interested in Castiel enough to ever read anything Destiel or Sassy. Like you, I don't mind temp partnerships, but I'd prefer it be past ones as soon as S/D or J2 meet.

If your OTP in J2 is just the Js, we're on track! I know lots of folks like JDM/Jensen but I'm kind of virulently against it. I've only read one story where that's the main pairing, a space AU I forget the writer of. I'm really, really bad like that, the forgetting.

SpN, I tend to stick to S/D, but I will read the occasional Cas/Dean. I'm reading an amazing human Cas/Dean story in which Sam features prominently as a recovering junkie, Dean's a recovering alcoholic and Cas is a doctor who loves Dean and cares for Sam...but I digress! Sassy I like as long as it's not kittens and candy. We'll avoid those stories, *G*.

We're on track, then, except for the Dean/Cas stuff. I also don't go for JDM pairings. I like Jeff, but not enough for him to be paired with my guys, you know? :-)

I read just recently an interesting four-way pairing...Sam/Dean/Jared/Jensen. Yeah, try keeping THAT straight! It was really good, even though some of the chapters in the 'verse wasn't much more than wall-to-wall porn. Still, I'm glad I read it. It was very eye-opening as far as sex toys and how to use them goes! *hee*
