I fell off the earth for a minute, but I'm back! I rewatched Show to see if I missed anything and it was even more awesome the second time around! Don't judge me but I'm feeling the Benny/Dean so hard! Which means that Benny's going to turn out to be a back-stabbing, stalker/user, blood-sucking monster out to wreck Dean's life.

I'm off to respond to comments I've received, and stalk other folks LJs for their Show Watch Feels. Whooo-ha!

Oh see, I didn't get the impression it was a "destroy all monsters" storyline - though if that *is* the case, it would be a suitably epic next step - but a "banish all demons" storyline. Just banishing, not destroying and just demons, not all monsters.

I would just like to take a second to point out that even though other peeps have apparently not watched Buffy & Angel (or maybe just forgot how bad it got) the SPN writers clearly have seen them, and Firefly/Serenity too. A guy with no soul and therefore lacking in a moral compass goes forth to reclaim his soul for someone he loves and succeeds, but is driven mad because of it. Sam and Dean (brotherly love, dammit. I am very anti-incest) or Spike and Buffy. A beloved character gets infect by (an) Old One(s), evil from before the dawn of man, and their body is slowly eaten away from the inside, being taken over by the monster, until they ultimately die. Cas or Fred? An organization comes up with a drug that causes those who ingest it to become so apathetic and complaint that they literally sit around doing nothing, except in a small percentage of cases, where the subjects become crazy and filled with *rage*. The Alliance and Miranda or the Leviathans? An that is one of the reasons why I don't like seasons 6&7. It's just lazy writing.

Yeah I get that, but if they have to get rid of him, could they just do it and not go back and forth? He's evil, but then he redeems himself, but then he dies, but then he's actually still alive but he has amnesia but the he doesn't but then he asorbs Sam's crazy (wtf?) and goes catatonic, but then he's not anymore, but then it turns out he's still not really himself, but then he's going to try anyway, but then he goes to purgatory and dies or something, and five bucks says but then he comes back again. Like I said, exhausting.

Oh, ha--it's not. Thinking on what happened, it is just a Shut The Door on Demons storyline. *grinsshrugs*
I guess I was thinking of this:

But if we think of demons as the top of the monster food chain and all the supernatural beasties are related it could be a DAM plot. But most likely, it's not. ;)
