I fell off the earth for a minute, but I'm back! I rewatched Show to see if I missed anything and it was even more awesome the second time around! Don't judge me but I'm feeling the Benny/Dean so hard! Which means that Benny's going to turn out to be a back-stabbing, stalker/user, blood-sucking monster out to wreck Dean's life.
I'm off to respond to comments I've received, and stalk other folks LJs for their Show Watch Feels. Whooo-ha!

10/6/12 04:59 am (UTC)Oh, and is it just me or does the "shutting all the doors to hell forever" plotline feel like backsliding? The show kind of went from lots of monsters and one mysterious "thing that killed Mom & Jess" to a couple of demons, to a lot of demons, to a lot of demons AND angels AND the Apocalypse, to more Apocalypse and *Lucifer*, and then we start a new story line where we go from the father of each monster race, to the mother of all monster races, to the evil creatures that roamed the Earth and were locked away before Lucifer even fell (if I'm understanding my timelines correctly), to... lots of demons again. It feels anti-climatic.

10/6/12 08:09 am (UTC)That aside, I still love the hints of Dean/Benny and Sam sidelining himself (I think there is more to that story, but I've never been the biggest fan of Sam, so I wouldn't mind if it was just the way it appears, either). I loved that the Impala is back, too, and that we still get my favorite demon - Crowley.
Maybe my standards are low, especially reading the other comments, because I really enjoyed all seasons of Buffy, and some of my favorite episodes were in season six, and I loved, loved, loved the Finale, and Buffy's solution. I was never a fan of the spin-off, but Buffy I enjoyed from start to finish, and was totally impressed with many, many different aspects of the writing.
But, I watch these shows to be entertained, so if they do that for me, then I'm good. So, maybe it's not that my standards are low, but that I'm easy. *g*

10/6/12 10:25 am (UTC)I'm rather amused by the nay-sayers. Since when has a season opener given us *all the answers*?? Since when is *anything* that easy on Show? Plus - Sam's story has *way* more details than we're getting! Way more.
I am the same - I have loved and adored every damn season. EVERY one. Sure, some episodes are less than awesome, but overall seasons have always made me happy, happy, happy. This one is no exception. YAY YAY YAY for show!
I loved how Dean and Benny apparently bonded and oh my, yes, that will end in tears. And Castiel - something big happened there. Either he sacrificed himself so Dean could leave, or he 'went native' because his madness took him over, or he lost his grace...something. Nothing so cut-and-dried as 'he died'. No no.
*twirls you*
I'm your Show-loving buddy, just come to me for happy happy joy joy. :)
