I have a confession to make. Please don't yell at me and tell me I'm a fool, I know it.

I can't watch Lex be that bad guy. I don't want to see it, it doesn't make me happy, I'm not all excited by EvilLex--I don't even really like it all that much in fic. I'll read an EvilLex fic, depending on the author because excellent writing makes even the most awful idea a pleasure to read. (in a hurty owie kind of way) but as we know, this is not the case in SV.

I want them to be friends forever, I want Lex to say, "Oh, no thanks, no evil, I'll have really good sex for a lifetime instead." I want Clark to look at him with almost as much amazement as he did in the beginning...(not as awed anymore, 'cause he knows Lex likes to eat crackers in the bed and shove the crumbs on Clark's side)

I know how the story is supposed to end, and I know I'm supposed to want it. But you know it's making me so sad that I can barely even write them anymore. Stupid, I know. I'm happy for the folks who can't wait, I kind of envy them. Exactaly what they want is going to happen, and it should happen.
I just don't want it to.

I understand--I hate Lex being abused by everyone, too, and I certainly don't mind when he slaps someone down--he should. It makes me smile. And lord yes, Mikey is so sexy when he's being bad.
As for the fic, there's a certain kind that I do like--angry, heartbroken, but there's still love at the core. I don't mind if it's a little twisted. *g*

In fact, as I'm reading these responses, I think what I really meant was, I don't want to see him turning into someone motivated strictly by hate, I don't want to see that friendship turning into hate. I liked them when Clark looked up to Lex.

You know...maybe what I really hate is Clark being such a fucking asshole.

lol! I try it with everything I write. I write a nice Clark, because that's what I want for Lex. And eventually, I give Lex a happy ending in every story, because that's what I want for him. *g*

I loved LLMOS just for that. Yes, he was evil, in the sense that he didn't care about the consequences of his actions, but he thought that what he was doing was right.

For some reason, I don't mind as much him being evil if he feels completely he's doing it for the sake of the world and not for himself. Which is kind of silly really, because that gives him the capacity to be more of a monster than someone doing it just for personal gain.
