Thanks to you, I finally got off my hindparts and posted Firebird to SSA. Only two years after I wrote the sucker! Woo-hoo! Go me!

I love this story...

Everything he'd ever had to do for Boris he brought to bear on Alexei. He prayed to him with his mouth, and his tongue. He prayed with every thrust he opened his throat to, with every clench of his fingers on the smooth muscular ass, he used every bit of skill he had to gain the essence of his god, he drank it down and tears leaked out of his eyes unnoticed.

Beautiful and sad and porny... What a great mix.

Oh, wow. wow wow wow wow wow. That was amazing, and intense, and I loved it. Kirill was so *feral*, such an amazing little savage, and Alexei was so damn scary, and yet they were so perfect for each other! And they way they basically adopt Ivan at the end is sweet, in a scary twisted BDSM kind of way.

And boy, you did a fantastic job depicting Boris' evil, because by the end I actually wanted Kirill to torture him *more,* and that scene was already pretty gruesome.

I loved the way Alexei tamed Kirill (sort of), starting with that opening scene where he makes him strip and then just clean his boots (damn!), but I also loved the ways Alexei is drawn against his will to Kirill--especially that scene right after he has loaned him to Felix.

I love the fearlessness of your writing--I've seen a lot of scenarios and AUs where Clark and/or Lex are twisted or evil, but they tend to pull their punches so as not to alienate the reader. I love the way you just follow them down their logical path, ending with the incineration of the whole village.

And I have to say, my favorite bit in the whole story was this part: "A house in Saint Petersburg." jab "you deserve to die" jab "for being so stupid" jab "If you'd shown my boy a minute of love" jab "a single kind word"-- and he ground his finger down into the wound as Boris screamed like a dying rabbit--"you'd have all of Russia now." He stood and watched Boris' chest heave frantically as he fought not to pass out.

"Instead you get to contemplate how nasty your last few hours on this earth are going to be. I've come to reclaim what's mine Voronkov. I don't like that you've been playing with it."

That was such an amazing, satisfying story. I loved it.
