I conquered this one over the weekend. You are such an amazing and talented writer. I'm in awe.
I really liked the story; it was so well thought out and plotted. The beginning; Clark as a young boy being taken was so sad. The fight scenes were very dramatic and very vivid and of course, the Clex was great!
One thing; why didn't Clark reconcile with his parents in the end?
Wow, what's really weird is I just finished re-reading it myself, because I wanted to go back to the end, and explore the bit with Clark's parents a little.
Thank you so very much, your comment is blush-making and you're very kind!
I wrote that ending so many times, almost always Clark and his parents falling on each other, so happy to see each other again at last...but Clark was taken at pre-school age, and told for the next 12 years that the people he lived with before Lionel didn't want him, threw him away...he associated his parents with a sense of bad things happening (breaking his mom's wrist the night he was taken) and the lies Lionel told him. He was conditioned to believe and need Lionel and in the end he transferred that to Lex, and Lex never pushed Clark to understand what had happened to him. Clark didn't have the ability to reconcile with them.
