I strongly disagree on your summary over at SSA!!! *throws a fit!* It's not a pleasant or uplifting story, there's no moral, no lesson, and no happy ending.

there is a moral, a lesson, and even a happy ending! clex is together = happy ending everyone can turn anyone into anything = the lesson we are all dogs = moral!
