4/16/08 11:21 pmEver do this thing where you comment in someone's journal and kind of lose it, praise-wise? Like maybe you might have gone just a weeee bit overboard? And they give you the LJ equivalent of backing off and surreptitiously checking out the exits? Pretty fucking embarrassing, isn't it?
Gosh, not that I've ever done anything like that. *koff* Not me, I'm made of cool.

4/17/08 03:50 am (UTC)Oh god, yes, yes!
LOL! And those love memes? I make an idiot of myself there all the time. Or I comment in a LJ I'm not friended to and first I'm all calm and proper and after a while I forget and act like a--a Roxy, heh.

4/17/08 04:22 am (UTC)you know, It sort of hits me at odd times, like getting out of the bath and suddenly, bam--'omigod, did you really say that?' oy...or right before I go to sleep all snuggly and comfy, there it is, bam--'hokey smokes, you realize now this person thinks you're a stalker--and since you didn't use spell-check, an illiterate stalker..."
At least thank goodness, it's an embarrassment free zone here. *G*

4/17/08 07:58 am (UTC)i mean, i would like to know the signs, if that happened to me.
though, that concept of going overboard, in fandom, seems strange to me, since fandom (well to those who are active anyway) is kind of an obsession, and i most of the time assume, the other is about the same level of craziness as i am so, *shrugs, where it the problem*.
when they want to be cool and aloof, they are in the wrong place, or should completely flocked their LJ

of course you're right, it should work like that because the one thing that connects us all is we're geeks, no matter how fancy the language, how poor or how well written, it all comes down to one thing, we're writing about TV shows.
It's just that I get shy when some one does it worlds better than me and then, is way cleverer besides. Oy!

4/18/08 10:15 pm (UTC)(so are excessive exclamation points)
I only tend to comment on fic if I truly love it or have a personal realationship with the author, so the squee is pretty much built into my commenting system (not that I'd fo - squee good friends, just be pleased that they'd given something a shot even if its not to my taste).
