you guys kind of get that I'm probably not going to write SV anymore, right? So anyone who's here for that, please feel free to defriend me. *geeck--ack--sniffle* Really, it's okay. No really, it's okay. I know it can be really disappointing when you're waiting for a new story that never comes.

I don't know if it will ever come again, but I'm not going to pretend like it might when I'm not sure. But no doubt, Clark is still the sun, and Lex is still the moon, and I still love them together. I sill love Whit, and Lucas, and Wade. I'll just be loving them from over_________here, instead of rightherelikethis.

I'm even more invested in watching SV, more than I've ever been, strangely enough. I love the show this year, and Clark is hotter, and better, than *ever*. Speak no evil about my Clark, I won't hear it. Unless it's a hot, juicy angst-filled cheating on Lois with Bruce evil kind of story. That kind of evil I'll take. Also, okay, maybe I should rewrite the 2nd Dis Pater so that Clark does erase Lex's memory since that's now canon as something Clark would do. At least without Martha around to slap him upside the head and tell him "Hell no, boy, is you crazy?"

So, the gist of this babble is no fic, defriend at will. Ignore my enormous hankie, for to be wiping my tears away.

See, I'm refusing to say that. Even though I haven't watched the show in, like, two or three years. Even though the few words I've written on COTW 53 (or whatever) since I last posted were lost in the great computer crash of '08. Even though I'm concentrating so hard on my novel, that I'm barely producing any fic at all, I refuse to say I'm never writing SV or CLEX anymore. Because I will, dammit. I swear.

So, what I mean is... you're way more brave and realistic than I. :) *huggles*

I know I am pretty much a newbie and I certainly friended you because I love your fics, but when I thought of defriending you after reading your message I got very depressed. I have come to really enjoy your posts, you have such a wonderful sense of humor and a real gift with words. So I plan on sticking around. However, since I post almost nothing but SV stuff, I'll understand if you want to defriend me.

One of the benefits of being a newbie and having so little time to read, I still have many of your fics I haven't read yet. So I will still be able to enjoy Roxy SV for months!

Write what you write, sweetie. The muses do what they do and we can never tell where they're going to go. My SV writing goes on but it's in between my original stuff, my slave fic, my brand new obsession with SGA, my occasional Torchwood fling, my... My but I have a lot of muses. O.o

By which I mean, you were the one who gave me my freedom when I was all angsting and torn up inside about SV and how much I couldn't write it anymore. The only thing I needed to know was that you'd still love me, and that it was okay, and I love you for telling me it was time.

And now I'm telling you the truth: look at all the people who love you - they will love you wherever you go. There are less of them than you think, and more than you know.

Of course, there are also people who just love your stories, and some of them will go when the characters change, but then, the characters would have changed anyway. Some of them won't bother to read the new stuff, and that hurts, but most of them, if they try it, will love your new stories, too.

You'll lose lurkers and then you'll get new lurkers in your new fandom, and you'll have new fangirls. You'll lose a few people that will make your heart hurt, because they think you don't have anything in common anymore and you can keep them for yourself or not. You'll lose collaborators. You'll get new ones. You'll miss the old ones.

But more than that, more than any of the people you'll find and lose, you'll find your new characters and you'll love them and hurt them and pet them and they'll make their own little apartments in your heart and natter on in your brain and you'll be happy.

And I'll love you, so of course, you'll win. Until you die, of course. I mean, you are getting on in years...

Absolutely not defriending you ever - I love your posts and having you on my flist. Besides, I need people who remember when Doctor Who was Tom Baker and who love Captain Jack and who know who Lou Reed is (you'd be surprised how many don't, Roxy, it's sad!) SV is something I still like - even if I've only watched up to nearly the end of S3 (I have S4 and S5 DVDs though - I am also planning to buy the rest) but it's not my fandom any more.

Incidentally do you think Doctor/Master and Clex are a bit similar? I really do think they have much in common.
